About Steve:
Steve grew up on Shuswap Lake, where his family had several boats and his love for waterskiing and flyfishing began.
After a careers in Restaurant Management and Wine Sales, Steve decided it was time to go into an industry that he liked, and since boating was one of his passions, he signed himself up for a marine course at UCC (now Thompson River University) in Kamloops in '89.
Steve originally joined the M&P team in 1990 as a Partsman. After a little over a year as a partsman, Steve decided to pursue his interest in fixing engines, taking a job as a Mechanic for a boat dealer in Vernon. While there, he completed his MerCruiser & Mercury Outboard Technician Certification. He returnd to M&P in '94 as the Service Manager and Warranty Administrator. After several year of this, Steve realized that Service Management was not his passion, and returned to working on engines. He also joins the M&P sales team every year at the boat show, sharing his passion for boating with the crowds.
Steve completed certification as a Master Technician for Sterndrives in '08. He renewed his Technician Certification for Inboards in '09.
Throughout his life, Steve has owned seven boats personally. While he's never owned a Sea Ray, he says that this is the next boat he intends to own. Steve's favorite boating activity? "Getting dragged behind the boat - in any form: waterskking, parasailing, kneeboarding, tubing, trick skiing... anything that's behind the rope!"
